Bike Route Maps

Here are some of my bike routes, mostly in Japan, entered into Google Maps. At this time Google Maps shows only the local language for any given country, so, the maps in Japan have mostly Japanese labels (there are some English labels at some levels of detail but it's sparse). This is not helpful for non-Japanese speakers, so I have annotated the maps a bit.

On the mechanics of how this page is made, the data for it is held in a Google Documents spreadsheet, and as being referenced on this page using the Loghound PlusKit plugin "GTable" command in RapidWeaver.

2 Mekujiri Zama Sagami Loop 59 36.58 Relatively flat. Hills near Zama and Shonandai. Yokohama, Shonandai, Zama, Ebina, Chogo in Japan Japan Bike route from Gumisawa near Totsuka, West to Shonandai, via Chogo to Mekujiri RIver Bike Path, up River to Zama US Base, across to Sagami River and down its trails, South, to Ebina. 3 River Sea River Chogo Loop 51 31.62 Relatively flat. Some hills with some trail and gravel. Yokohama, Shonan, Chigasaki, Ebina, Chogo in Japan Japan Bike route from Gumisawa near Totsuka, down the Sakai river bike path to Enoshima, along the bike path on the Shonan coast towards the Sagami river, up to Route 22 and back to Totsuka via Chogo. 4 Three Hills Loop 28 17.36 Flat until Enoshima. Hilly over Kamakura yama. Yokohama, Shonan, Kamakura-yama, Ofuna, Totsuka in Japan Japan Bike route from Gumisawa near Totsuka, down the Sakai river bike path to Enoshima, back North over the "three hills" of Kamakura-yama to Ofuna, up the Kashio River bike path to Totsuka and home. The route is basically downhill or flat to Enoshima, then gets hilly in Kamakura-yama, following the road under the Enoshima-Ofuna Monorail. View Google Map
